The ACCB, located near the iconic temples of Angkor, is the first nature conservation centre in Cambodia. It is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and biodiversity through various initiatives, including wildlife rescue, conservation breeding, and environmental education.
Activities
The ACCB is involved in a range of activities aimed at preserving Cambodia’s natural heritage. This includes the rescue and rehabilitation of endangered wildlife, conservation breeding programs, and the reintroduction of species into their natural habitats. The centre also focuses on research, community involvement, and providing environmental education.
Price
Visitors can join a pre-booked guided tour of the conservation centre at 9:00 am or 1:30 pm daily, which lasts about 2 hours. The tour requires a minimum donation of $5 USD3. This contribution goes directly towards the care of the animals and supporting local communities.
How to Get There
The ACCB is situated at Kbal Spean, within the Phnom Kulen National Park, approximately 40 kilometres north of Siem Reap. Visitors can reach the centre by tuk-tuk or taxi from Siem Reap, with taxis offering a more comfortable journey.
How to Book
To visit the ACCB, you must book a guided tour in advance. Tours are available at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. For groups larger than 15, or for visits outside these times, contact the ACCB at least 48 hours in advance
